Saturday, March 31st

Mr. SV and I tried getting breakfast at Pumpernickle Deli this morning. At 10:30, the only vegan option left to order from the menu was the Baked Tofu Sandwich...
which looks better than it was. We decided not to waste the calories on this and instead high-tailed it to...
Sticky Fingers for a Breakfast Burrito $7.49 Organic, Whole Grain Tortilla, Tofu Scramble, Black Beans, Tomato, Spinach & Daiya Cheese. We also stocked up on vegan goodies.
That was enough eatin' till dinner time when I had the last of the homemade Vegetable Soup.
Half a Little Devil from Sticky Fingers for dessert...
Coming up tomorrow: Breakfast from Sticky Fingers.

WTF Wednesday

WF's now offers another vegan scone: The Glorious Morning Scone. Not as good as their Oat Scone.
Mr SV worked from home today as well, so I was able to convince him to go get lunch for us from a nearby Thai Restaurant. I got the Green Curry.
Field Roast Meatloaf with Heinz-57 and Steamed Broccoli for dinnerBecause I ate all my Broccoli, dessert was an Uncle Eddie's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie and Soy Delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream.
Coming up tomorrow: No Grapefruit and no Energy Bite. That much I know.

WTF Tuesday

Kashi 7 Grain Nuggets and Flaxseed Milk for breakfast. These are like Grape-Nuts but easier on the teeth.
Field Roast Franfurters and Tater Tots for lunch.
If all these veggies were raw, everyone would be so impressed with my dinner.
WF's Red Pepper Hummus with Pizzettina Crackers for dessert. I sure do eat a lot of the same stuff over and over.
Coming up tomorrow: More of the same.

Monday, March 26, 2012

Lentils Two Ways for lunch: As a Wrap and as Soup. Followed by a reasonable portion of TJ's Chocolate Covered Almonds.

It was an unexciting but delicious food day.

Sunday, March 25th

We left home at 10am this morningto drive an hour south for lunch, so no breakfast. The Chili $4.50 at Black Bear Bistro was the best I've ever had in my life. Bar None. Mr. SV agreed it was the best he's ever had in his life as well.
My Shepherds Pie topped with House Chips and Vegan Cheese – $9.95 Is that a House Chip in my Shepherds Pie or is it just happy to see me?
Mr. SV had the Sloppy Joe $7.95. Superb! A fantastic meal was had by all. The restaurant is planning to add more vegan and raw food items to the menu, so prepare to see more from this great establishment in the future.
Half a piece of Sweet and Natural Blueberry Lemon Cake for dessert.
Ingrid suggested I try spicing up the blog with critter pics, so I spent a half hour in the barn this afternoon trying to accomplish this task. Below is Marmalade Umlaut before she ran to hide...
This is Buttercup. She had a litter of kittens and then her human family kept the kittens and turned her into the local shelter cuz she wasn't friendly enough. She has been in our barn a couple years and I find her to be just the right amount of friendly. Just don't touch her head.
Here is Buttercup looking out the screen window at the beautiful spring day.
Of course, Donovan was most cooperative in posing. He's becoming a such a huge boy. So gentle and loving. I couldn't get Jasper or Mystique to come out of hiding. Once they hear the camera, they get scared (like me) and disappear.
Yesterday I enjoyed the best Bread I've ever had in my life and today I enjoyed the best Chili I've ever had in my life. If only this weekend didn't have to end.

Saturday, March 24th

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest with Flaxseed Milk for breakfast. I first heard of Flaxseed Milk on Kimberly's blog and had been looking for it ever since. It was an exciting find...
A Groupon induced lunch at Il Fornaio Restaurant today. The Groupon was set to expire 3/31, so it was a relief not to see it go to waste. Their Minestrone $4.99 was a million times better than my homemade Vegetable Soup.
My Capellini al Pomodoro $9.99 was intensely flavorful with lots of Garlic and Tomato.
But it was the crusty and chewy Bread 'studded' with Green Olives that was the highlight of the meal. I ate enough for a small army, dipped in fruity Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinaigrette. Kudos to the Bread and Olive Oil Girl who was so in tune with my constant need for more Bread and Oil, yet also completely non-judgemental.
Back to earth: Field Roast Meatloaf with Heinz-57 and Steamed Broccoli for dinner.
No dessert due to the earlier massive bread consumption. Coming up tomorrow: Mr. SV says he's willing to go out to lunch again! He's so good to me.

Friday, March 23, 2012

Friday, March 23rd

TJ's Raisin Swirl Bread with Tofutti Cream Cheese for breakfast...

Coming up tomorrow: Italian.

Thursday, March 22nd

Blah Blah Blah...This blog is so boring...Lunch was carryout from Red Robin. My Boca Burger order was correct. Really hit the spot that needed tons of sodium and empty calories.More leftover Vegetable Soup for dinner. Veggie to broth ratio more even this time.
Leftover Pizza for dessert. The Daiya didn't reheat as well as I'd hoped.
Coming up tomorrow: Boring breakfast, CPK for lunch.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

WTF Wednesday

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest with Flaxseed Milk for breakfast...
Tofurky Kielbasa on a WF's Pretzel Roll for lunch.Tempeh and Pumpkin Seeds with Goddess Dressing on TJ's Champs Elysee Salad Mix for dinner. I am really sick as sh*t of this salad, so don't expect to see it on here again for a long time.Three Newman's Own Cinnamon Hermits piggy-backing each other for dessert.
Coming up tomorrow: Something I can't make for myself at home.
